Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 June 2026.

This privacy policy explains how Plata Invest (referred to as "we", "us" or "the platform" in this document) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit plata-invest-ca.com or use the Plata Invest CA workspace. We are committed to handling your data in line with applicable Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA.

1. What data we collect

We collect two broad categories of information.

  • Information you provide directly: first name, last name, email address, phone number, country of residence and any details you share through contact forms or onboarding calls.
  • Information collected automatically: IP address, device type, browser type, anonymous usage statistics, referring URLs and cookie identifiers that help us understand how the site is used.

2. How we use your data

We use the data to provide and improve the workspace, respond to enquiries, verify your identity during onboarding, prevent fraud, comply with applicable law and send service messages such as account confirmations. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

3. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, measure traffic and improve site performance. You can disable cookies in your browser at any time, though some site features may stop working as expected when they are off.

4. Sharing with partners

To provide the workspace we share limited data with carefully selected partners — including broker partners, identity-verification providers, payment processors, hosting providers and analytics services. Every partner is bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

5. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations or defend legal claims. Marketing data is deleted on request. Verification records may be kept for the period required by anti-money-laundering law.

6. Security measures

Data in transit is protected with TLS encryption, and stored data is held inside access-controlled databases with continuous monitoring. We restrict employee access strictly to the people who need it, and we conduct routine security reviews of our infrastructure.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, request deletion, withdraw your consent for marketing and lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected].

8. International transfers

Some of our service providers store data outside Canada, including in the European Union and the United States. We require these providers to apply data-protection standards comparable to those required by Canadian law.

9. Children

The Plata Invest CA workspace is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete the record.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with a fresh "last updated" date. Continued use of the site after the change date counts as acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact us at [email protected]. We aim to respond within 30 calendar days.
